Water taxi operators for river cruise can be found at the Yayasan Jetty next to Horizon Restaurant.

The price ranges from B$10.00 to B$20.00 per person.

2. How can I go on a Proboscis Monkey and the Mangrove Forest tour?

The Proboscis Monkey can be found on a 15 minutes boat ride from Yayasan Jetty. It is recommended to see the Proboscis Monkey early in the morning and in the late afternoon. It's advised to use a licensed local tour guide to bring you around.

 

3. How many villages are there in Kampong Ayer?

Currently there are 34 Kampongs (Village) and 5 Mukims (Subdivision of a district).

 

4. What can I see in the city? Or what are the places of interests I can visit in this area?

FAQ OF TIC CRUISE SHIP CENTRE

1. Is there any available shop or places of interest nearby this pier?

Yes, you can go to Muara Beach or Serasa Beach. Muara Beach is about 20 to 30 minutes walking distance. Meanwhile, Serasa Beach can be reached by bus. If by bus you can use bus no. 33 (royal blue line).

2a. How do I go to the city?

You can go via bus. The bus just outside the ports area and taxi upon request.

 

2b. How to go to the nearest bus terminal?

Outside the entrance of Muara Port go straight to the roundabout, turn left and go straight for the second roundabout then turn left again. The Bus terminal is located 100 meters from the Shell Petrol Station.

3. Where can I find the closest money changer?

The closest money changer is located inside the Cruise Ship Centre building just beside the convenience store.

4. How long is the journey to the city?

Muara Port to Bandar Seri Begawan is 27Km and the journey takes about 30 to 45 minutes depending on the traffic.

5. What can I do during my transit?

Go for a walking tour around the capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan. Whereby you can go to;

Yes, the Wi-Fi is open to the public. The access point is "Cruise Ship Centre". The speed of the Wi-Fi is depends on how many users using the line.

The nearest coffee shop is at "It's a Grind Coffee House".

 

7b. How do I get there?

Outside the entrance of Muara Port and go straight to the first roundabout, turn left and go straight for the second roundabout "It's a Grind Coffee House" with free WiFi just beside the roundabout.

8a. Where is the nearest attraction?

The nearest attraction in this area is the Muara Beach; it is only 2km from the port.

 

8b. How to go there?

Either by walking or by bus. It is only about 20 minutes walking distance from the port. You can use bus no. 33 which is direct to the Muara Beach which cost about B$1.00 and will arrive less than 10 minutes.
